"Sunday Runway, In Praise of Gingham . . . "

Greetings,

I've had a kinda busy weekend.  Because as a new season finally begins - a vast section of my closet begins a brisk transition from tartan - to gingham.

Here's a bit of inspiration for you - just in case you're adapting your own wardrobes to our new summer weather - Praise summer . . .

Cheers,
Scot

I love love gingham I don't think there is anything more crisp and fresh looking than a blue and white gingham shirt, except maybe a striped shirt. I too am transitioning my winter closet into my summer closet. Summer is finally here. Loved all the eye candy on your post today. Kathysue

I do love it-nothing smarter or more summery-unless it is the little horizontal navy and white stripe-but who can wear that! enjoy sporting gingham.

I remember as a young girl. my Mother, sister Cynthia, and I all having matching pink and white gingham dresses for spring and summer!

LOVE IT! I am the biggest fan of gingham. I just bought a heap of gingham shirts from JCrew. I also have piles of the cheap stuff in every color for entertaining. It's less than $4/yd and makes any summer party so fresh and festive. I just pick my color to set the tone and whip out the pinking shears. (My favorite is the cornflower blue with my blue/white Spode dishes and pink and orange garden roses).

I adore gingham and have quite a few things with gingham...its such a timeless classic and I love all the stunning pictures above..those gingham bow ties are amazing as are the shoes!! My son will dress in all this but my husband is not as "daring" though he does have several gingham shirts from Brooks brothers and J Mclaughlin who both make them in great colors. Great post!!
