"Join me outside . . . "

Good morning,

We've been enjoying amazing weather here in SF for the last few days . . . and, of course, my thoughts turn towards outdoor entertaining.

Maybe it's as simple as enjoying your morning coffee in the big, comfy seating out on the lawn.

Or how about a garden brunch with friends?

Lunch anyone ?

Maybe just a snack by the pool ?

What could be lovelier ?

Or we could just spend the entire day in the garden . . . enjoying the weather and the company of good friends.

Y'all come back, ya hear?

Alright, I'm thinking bar-b-que, sweet iced tea with lemon, potato salad, baked beans, cole slaw. What do you think? I'm also thinking that the top photo can be my vacation home and the next two patio pictures are there as well! I'll visit this most beautiful spot when I'm not sipping my coffee in that fabulous Gothic stone English kitchen. (I recognize these pictures! You are SO good!)

I happened to have the good fortune to visit your beautiful city last week and spend the day at the Design Center. I truly didn't want to leave it was so warm and sunny. I'll join you on those beautiful patios any day.

BTW my Blog postings are showing up a year old in your sidebar...please try using this for the link to update it:

Patricia,

sorry about the wonky link . . . I've got it fixed, thanks for pointing it out !

Wish I had known you were in town (and at the SFDC). I would have loved to have met you for coffee.
GSG,

BBQ and sweet-tea. yum.

I'll join you anytime! We are in the midst of beautifying our back yard which is a slab og concrete surrounded by dirt at the moment. What to do with no funds?!?! I will come up with something minimalist.

I love outdoor living! you've posted some very inspiring photos. I miss San Francisco soooo much. I was born and raised there and even though I've lived in Sacramento since 1991, I still call San Francisco home. You have the best of both worlds...a beautiful home working in a beautiful industry in a beautiful city.
loved this post...I too have been out in the garden dreaming of parties to come. Thanks for sharing.

LOVE the pool-side sofa/bench!!
We have so much work to do in our yard before we can entertain both hard & landscapping :-( Maybe next year we'll be ready for company!!

Wow...great setting, and ideas...

Blessings...
I have visited you a few times over the past month, but this post got me to immediately update my bloglist with a link to you. My deck is currently under renovation, and I am prepping my husband for the purchase of a new set of outdoor furniture. These pictures are quite inspirational. I am thinking teak vs. all weather wicker. What do you think?
I can wait to use my studio deck this summer.

I just discovered your blog--and love it! I actually followed a link from cococozy. I have been looking all over the place for a navy striped rug, and I love the one featured in the picture. Could you tell me where this rug is from? Love your work!

Hey Jamie!

Firstly, you should know that the rug os actually a black and cream stripe. But, it's from Ballard Designs - they have a great collection of outdoor rugs.

Cheers,
Scot
