"Patched and Plaid . . . "

Greetings,

We seem to be nearing the last hurrah for summer - as Labor Day is just a month away . . . so if you've not gotten in gear with your summer interiors - and summer wardrobe - I recommend that you get started . . .

And if by chance you need inspiration, I can offer the following . . .

Vintage image from Ralph Lauren
Patchwork for your afternoon . . .

Or patchwork for your evening . . .

Something for your little boy . . .

Or for your slightly older boys . . .

vintage image from Brooks Brothers
Maybe something for a garden party . . .

Or to carry your gardening tools in . . .

Or you could just relax and enjoy these last few weeks of Summer . . .

Cheers,
tartanscot

Such happy summer pics. I've been out of touch this summer, so busy but missing my world of blog, bigtime! Hope you are well.

With the heat index approaching 115 here in Little Rock today, it hardly feels like summer's last hurrah quite yet!

Scot-
Loving this post! I scored a gorgeous patchwork plaid blazer at a Belk dept store last summer (like the BB) for $20! Unfortunately, it's so hot and humid here in Raleigh NC I have barely worn it this season. But this post has inspired me to at least pull it out and dream! Love your blog! Neal

I've always loved a plaid tablecloth for summer. The rich colors make me feel happy and free. Thanks for helping me see that there is an end to this unbearable heat we have here in Dallas. Labor day is coming was ringing in my ears!
