"It Was a Dark and Stormy . . . "

Photographer, Vincent Thibert

Greetings,

Just feeling a little grand and european this afternoon - and thought I'd share a favourite.  This is one of those pictures that's been squirreled away in my 'inspiration' files forever.

And as much as I love each of the details of the space (the paintings, the amazing tiled floors, and rumpled bed linens) - I truly love how the room feels!  You can almost taste the intrigue.  Almost feel the scandal.

Come on.  Let's make up a story . . . .

hmmmmm,
Scot

Oh yes! Love those old interiors and that tile is amazing as you say! I have been enjoying and commenting on your blog Scot and would so appreciate you visiting mine from time to time! It would mean so much to me! shiree'
I just watched Jane Eyre, very fitting. Now in my files too.
No, not a problem at all thinking up a multitude of story lines..."and as the morning sun caressed madame's face.........

But seriously, I quoted you in my blog post the other day.

Always enjoy reading your blog!

Oh what a wonderful room! What I wouldn't give to spend just one day/night in this room. Now, I'll also add it to my inspiration files. Thanks, Scot!

What I am most attracted to is the bed. There is something to be said about wrinkled and flowing fabric on a bed. This bed tells the tail.

Freudian slip...tale not tail.
Oh yes, that is a perfect image to go with a Dark and Stormy Night !
A story to go with the image ?

She felt the breeze from the open window, but she hated to open her eyes and wake up. She had such delightful dreams, or were they dreams ?

This definitely brings to mind Colin Firth in Valmont! Now there's a story.

It was just a knowing glance that made him follow her, discreetly excusing himself from the party, into her bedroom. As he removed his jacket, he looked longingly at her her snow-white bosom, heaving, as she laid before him. His eyes glistened,he removed his sword and placed it near the door, while he set his gaze upon the prize of his dreams... to be continued.

Early in the morning, he left her chamber to return to his own, before the help would know. It was just a matter of time before their affair became a scandal in the castle.
here goes..........the first indication of another in her bed was the whisper of his hot breath in her ear. she had longed for his return.........suddenly a quick flash, and the dark hair on a sculpted arm, was not who she anticipated............
