"Sunday Runway, Take Ivy . . . "

Greetings,

Do you have your own copy of the book Take Ivy yet?  Seriously, it's already a regular guide for my fashion inspiration!  Originally published in Japan in the mid-60's,  the slim book documents the collegiate style of the Ivy League schools of that era.  The book had been out of print for ages - even after a small-run printing in 2006 that sold out almost immediately - but, is now available again.   If you're a fan of classic 'trad' mens clothing (as clearly I am!) - it's a must have!

Enjoy a few images - clearly inspiring for a warm holiday weekend . . .

Take Ivy.  Inspiration awaits . . .

Cheers,
Scot

I have an older brother who was "Best Dressed" in high school in the mid-60s, so I remember bleeding madras, ivy loops, and penny loafers!

A great book for anyone who loves the style, which I do. Such a great American classic look that will never get old or go out of style. Lovely book!

Thanks for the tip! This is a great addition to my style library and I know my guy will like to looke thru it. We are about 4 hours from Charleston, SC, where the men still wear alot of this look. My favorite is a gentleman in a seersucker suit and straw hat...ahhh.

Very cool -- check out "The Trad" blog, he interviewed the authors of Take Ivy last year and it is very interesting. Donna
