Good Morning,
How amazing is this gracious living from a home in Houston. The simple colour story is SO calming, and the furnishings are just perfect. And I love that wonderful chinoiserie chest giving the room just a tiny bit of extra weight and extra style.
Getting an early start on a crazy weekend here. I've got a photo shoot here at the house on Tuesday, so it's all hands on deck for the next few days.
Off to the flower market,

I enjoy this monchromatic look and feel also. The darker woods in the room and large dark painting above the firepace ground this space. Nice!

This room speaks to my soul.
I can also see what my cat, Laskett, would do: tulips tipped over, and a thready scruffed section of rug.
For starters.

Ideezine,
Glad you liked the space as well . . . it's just lovely.
Tara,
LOL - but, I could also see Laskett curled up on the tufted ottoman napping the in mid-day sun. Let's stick with THAT image!

I agree with Tara. I have just finished Rose Tarlow's 'A Private House', and I have come to realize that the designers whose work I really love create places that speak to the soul...that go just a bit beyond decorating and create a feeling, an essence, perhaps capturing something of their client.
This room has that quality.
I always am drawn to Ginger Barber's work. This room is so lovely - such a peaceful space.
