"Coming Somewhat Less Soon . . . "

Greetings,

The trailer for the final season of Downton Abbey was released over the weekend - and, to quote Richardo Montalban - "it looks marvelous."  It seem like just yesterday we met the Crawley sisters and were drawn into their world of marriages, dead lovers, and sibling rivalry.

And sets.

And costumes.

If you're an ardent fan - I dare you not to shed a tear watching to previews for the final season.

Don't get too excited about that September 20th nonsense . . . I'm sure it not going to be showing here in the states until January 4th, 2016.

Cheers,
Scot

Oh Scot I don't know if I will be able to stand this marvelous series ending! January seems so far off right now!

I've been waiting all year but I can see it's not going to end the way I'd hoped. Ugh.

Dear Lord! I love this series SO MUCH! Like millions of others, I am so downhearted that this is the last season I will spend with these people I have grown to care for as though they were my own relatives! It is a VERY long time until January! In the meantime, I may have to binge watch the first seasons all over again....I am addicted like that!! Thanks for sharing. I had missed the trailer.

I wouldn't have cried if they hadn't played that song, so sad and fitting for the finale of one of my all time favorite British series. Maybe one of us should hire Carson since he's going to be unemployed. :-) Scot, your home, while not huge, seems like the perfect setting for a butler!

This will be a hard one to say goodbye to!
The costumes, historic sets & time periods as well as the one-liners from Violet have been a joy!
