"Meanwhile . . . Back at the Abbey . . . "

Greetings,

Seriously . . . I'm SO excited for tomorrow night - and the new season of Downton Abbey.  I'm fairly shocked by the fact that I know so little of the plot for this season - considering that it aired in the UK last fall.  Oh, and as a cautionary tale . . . don't do a google image search using the term "Downton Abbey Season 3."  It's kind of a parade of visual spoilers . . . lol.  You've never seen someone slam his finger down on the delete button harder and faster.

Eh, live and learn.  And the above image is from season 2 . . . so, I'm not giving anything away by showing you how beautiful Michelle Dockery looks in shooting tweeds.  Don't fret.

Cheerio,
Scot

Has anyone else been watching the Season 2 re-runs that played every night this week? What fun...and that snow flurry ending..oh, here we go!
How funny... I can just picture you slamming the delete key...

I love seeing the change in fashions and styles as the seasons progress... the on screen characters as well as the behind the scenes contributors could not have been better chosen.
laughed out loud thinking of you hitting the delete button, I am also so looking forward to tonights show, I even set a alarm on my blackberry so I can get out of the dinner party I'm going tonight without a problem...
Enjoy the show, Regards, Carol Anne
I, too, have kept my head in the sand with regards to Season 3. No message boards, no Googling, etc. I want to enjoy it with no inklings or spoilers. You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love it! :-) I am So excited. ENJOY!
Two hours of heaven for me! I am so excited that Downton is back!
Happy New Year, Scot!

How great was that? Can't wait until next week. Loved the skirt lengths on the "shooting suits" and the fabrics were yummy and to see Maggie Smith comment on the possible demise of Downton ( "maybe I could open a little shop" - or something to that effect). And this week's comment when her son-in-law had to stoop to black tie " oh, I thought you were a waiter". Thanks for sharing the excitement & romance of it all Scott.

I was glued to the tv and it did not disappoint--although I would have like more from the wedding scene--can't wait for next week!

So far, season 3 has not disappointed. Love the wedding, love the drama of losing the abbey, but I find Bates's situation disturbing. Did he, in fact, kill his wife? I'm beginning to wonder....
BTW, just received "The Collected Tabletop" today in the mail. It also does not disappoint! Such gorgeous images. Thanks so much to you and to Kathryn Greeley for such a wonderful book/gift/prize! ~Delores
