"Come to the dark side . . . "

Good morning,

Love this dark, dramatic New York residence designed by the brilliant Robert Passal.  Love the dark wall treatment.  Love the artwork.  Love the architectural details.  And who doesn't love a chocolate brown button-tufted banquette ?

I've been working madly getting my place ready for next Wednesday's shoot, and this has truly been inspiring.

Quirky, elegant, fabulous.  Those dogs on the fireplace mantel are flawless.

There is such an inherent drama in spaces with darker wall treatments.  It gives the light  greater contrast.

and some beautiful details from the dining room.  Love the table service and the flowers are perfect.

So warm and inviting. This is a man's space for sure. The cabinetry in the dining room is in my inspiration file--wouldn't you know it! Sorry to have been MIA as of late. So very busy here. Can't wait to see more!

I am wowed by that salon wall with the drawings. And the dark coffered ceiling. And those leopard chairs!

Love it!

Rob is such a nice guy and this apartment is one of my very favorites! FAB!!!!!
I first ran into a chocolate brown wall in a friend's home about six years ago. The white millwork really popped and the space felt very refined, "tailored" may be a better word.

Love the stand (and bronze) next to your wing chair. It's so elegant!
