"Sunday Runway, The Duke of Windsor . . . "

James D'Arcy and Andrea Riseborough as King Edward and Wallis Simpson in W.E.

Greetings,

In recognition of the new film based on the affair of the King Edward and Wallis Simpson - I thought we'd cast our Sunday fashion eye on the ever-stylish Edward.  The man who spend his life defying royal traditions - also spent his life establishing enumerable fashion traditions.  Lets take a quick look . . .

Super stylish . . . double-breasted suits with spectators . . .

Amazing tweeds for the country . . .

And even looking marvelous in his kilt . . .

Fantastic patterned wool suits . . .

And some great images from his amazing wardrobe . . .

And how fabulous is this?!?!?!

Cheers,
Scot

Oh dear Lord the Prince who gave up the throne.....was probably the chicest man in the 20th century. ??

And she was also chic beyond. Other than the plaid suit (sorry....couldn't connect there) his clothes and his shoes.....and his taste in HER jewelry! What an eye!

And they had so much fun! You can see it! Photographs show the real deal....no where to hide! so many happy photos!!

Madonna's film! It looks like it will be really terrific. There are also some wonderful shots of James D'Arcy in character in the current Vanity Fair.
Is there anything more sublime than a man in a kilt?
I really hope this film is fabulous! Marge has been so slammed for so many films that perhaps this will break her losing streak. You can't beat the subject matter.
Keeping my fingers crossed.
