This is my sister's porch: here. This is the porch at the house where I grew up: here and here.

The porch was about 100 feet long and 12 feet wide, with "wings" on either side of the house. In the mornings, the east side was shady and in the afternoons, the west side was shady.

We had a set of iron table and chairs on the east side for breakfast, and a bunch of iron chairs on the west side for afternoon cocktails.

We had lots of parties on that porch. It was a great space.Pigtown*Designhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13775512940294150252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3881349691280291715.post-43606003337670433212009-06-10T13:53:09.483-07:002009-06-10T13:53:09.483-07:00Scot,

I believe the writer was getting too many rude comments and chose to understandably deal with it in this way. But I am........feeling left. The vines curl off, pretty in snow. The flowers are white but unscented. They add a structure for roses to climb over and then you get a two-fer.! I know you are talking big changes perhaps.
